A Cowboy in the Desert

When I was a child, I saw a photo of a young man full of youthful energy, wearing sunglasses and feeling the wind blow. As I was drawing him, I wanted to capture that moment in time in the most beautiful place and setting I could imagine.

The day when the new moon rises, in the beautiful sunset. A cowboy discovers a hidden meadow that is rarely seen in the barren desert.

He has never actually even seen the desert, but now in my own way, he has.

The person that I can understand more as I get older.
